Nora Boedeker is a naturalistic oil painter whose work is inspired by the plant models she created for the Milwaukee Public Museum. A diversity of plant forms, colors, textures and shapes are seen in her paintings. Nora's award winning larger than life paintings have been shown throughout the midwest in both group and solo shows and have been described by the Shepherd Express newspaper as "breathtaking"*. In addition, she has taught classes and workshops for both adults and children. Nora continues to do freelance museum work and work as a member of the exhibits staff of the Milwaukee Public Museum. .

News:

I am currently working on a project for the Daniel Soref Planetaruim fabricating models of planets in our solar system.

My work has been selected for the Wisconsin Artist's Biennial Show held at The Museum of Wisconsin Art from January 17- March 9, 2014.

I will be painting at the Cedarburg Cultural Center for their "Paint your Art Out" fundraising event, February 15, 2014. My work will be on display there until March 24th, 2014

I will continue as always, part time maintenance work/ artist work for the Milwaukee Public Museum.
