Nora Boedeker is a naturalistic oil painter. Her work is inspired by the plant models she created for the Milwaukee Public Museum. A diversity of plant forms, color, textures and shapes are expressed in her paintings. Nora's award winning larger than life scale paintings have been shown throughout the midwest and in both group and solo shows. In addition, she has taught classes and workshops for both adults and children. Nora continues to work as a member of the exhibits staff of the Milwaukee Public Museum and also on traveling exhibits most notably as the scenic painter for the King Tut exhibit.

Nora is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institue of Art and Design and an active member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists and the Milwaukee Artists Resource Network. She lives in Glendale, Wisconsin.

Nora is represented by The Dooryard Gallery in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

News:

I have a painting in a juried show at the Alverno College Gallery running from January 25th to February 24th, 2013.

I will continue as always, part time maintenance work for the Milwaukee Public Museum.
