Nora Boedeker is a naturalistic oil painter. Her work is inspired by the plant models she created for the Milwaukee Public Museum. A diversity of plant forms, color, textures and shapes are expressed in her paintings. Nora's award winning larger than life scale paintings have been shown throughout the midwest and in both group and solo shows. Nora continues to work as a member of the exhibits staff of the Milwaukee Public Museum and also on traveling exhibits for Arts and Exhibitions International, most notably as the scenic painter for the King Tut exhibit.

Nora is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institue of Art and Design and an active member of the League of Milwaukee Artists, the Wisconsin Visual Artists and the Milwaukee Artists Resource Network. She lives in Glendale, Wisconsin.

News:

I'll have a solo show at the University of Sheboygan campus gallery in July, 2012.

I will be in Seattle at the Pacific Science Center, May 2012 with installation of: "Tutankhamun, The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" exhibit.

I will have my work for sale at the Domes Art Fair, August 2012

I will continue as always, part time maintenance work for the Milwaukee Public Museum.
