Nora Boedeker is a naturalistic oil painter. Her work is inspired by the
plant models she created for the Milwaukee Public Museum. A diversity of plant
forms, color, textures and shapes are expressed in her paintings. Nora's award
winning larger than life scale paintings have been shown throughout the midwest
and in both group and solo shows. In addition, she has taught classes and workshops
for both adults and children. Nora continues to work as a member of the
exhibits staff of the Milwaukee Public Museum and also on traveling exhibits
most notably as the scenic painter for
the King Tut exhibit.
Nora is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institue of Art and Design and an active member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists and the Milwaukee Artists Resource Network. She lives in Glendale, Wisconsin.
Nora is represented by The Dooryard Gallery in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.
I have a painting in a juried show at the Alverno College Gallery running from January 25th to February 24th, 2013.
I will continue as always, part time maintenance work for the Milwaukee Public Museum.
